A Glass Church in the Russian Arctic
Imagine seeing the Northern Lights while in church for the Sunday morning service
The architects want to build it in the village of Teriberka, fashioned after the appearance of a church that existed back in the 18th century.
The authors of the unique project decided to present their concept of the church at the International Exhibition of Architecture and Design “ARCH Moscow” held in the capital.
They want to build a church made of glass and wood in the village of Teriberka in the Murmansk region. And they intend to take the appearance of the lost Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kondopoga as a basis for the design.
“In the project, we are rethinking the traditional appearance of the church, taking into account the characteristics of a unique place - Teriberka,” note the authors of the project.
According to their idea, due to the fact that glass will be one of the main construction materials, it will be possible to observe the northern lights while inside the church.

I think the ability to see the Northern Lights will be too distracting for those attending Services.
Now that is breath taking! Everything they 'invent' is a mimicry of God's creation. That is absolutely stunning!
