That is a great book! And respect for parents isn’t an alien concept once we realize the Elder doesn’t mean obedience to ungodly commands or advice.

Yes, that's an important point. As long as the instructions are in alignment with God's teachings, we need to listen. But if anyone asks us to violate God's commands, we would have to say no to that.

My earthly father was totally negligent in his responsibility towards me as a son. While he was with my mother he rarely spent time with me and at age nine he abandoned me and our family all together. I forgive him and occasionally pray for him that he will be saved but to honor him is not in my ability.

My father stigmatized anything that swayed its ears in the direction of travel. He expressed a strong rejection of conformity. Today, after 50 years of solitary research, I am able to understand the meaning of 666 (a human number) in the Book of Revelation. Does your attitude allow for such an achievement?

Although I was born on a farm without running water or grid electricity, I was completely drawn to the sky. But my parents gave me a choice between agricultural college and agricultural college. So I went into agriculture, being somewhat intrigued by an unofficial approach used on my parents' farm, an approach that emphasized the existence of 12 bacterial bio-moderator salts, the basis of all genetic code, which evolves towards higher peaks of perfection.

Our final year project revealed a problem with the use of officially recommended techniques. The publication of the findings in 1980, with 800,000 copies printed, resulted in the closure of employment doors for the very young engineer I was.

Officially endorsing my father's choice put me in a state of disobedience towards the official world! I have no regrets about it. While serving in the military, I was punished for following orders. We live in a world that is false in every respect.

“A son is always a son. A daughter is always a daughter.” That’s wrong! For my mother, I’m just a provider of free care, someone to be put forward when a problem arises… You haven’t read Alice Miller, who challenges this “Thou shalt respect thy father and thy mother!” She wrote numerous books, such as “The Drama of the Gifted Child.”

There’s also Aldo Naouri, for whom everything comes down to the mother. For him, without maternal approval, nothing can be done.

For over 60 years, I held my parents in high esteem, ready to defend them. Then, after returning from two years in the Philippines without any income, my mother asked me to contact the village priest, accusing me of harassing him by phone. And my young Filipina partner pointed out that, to act like that, my mother wasn’t a mother. She should have known I would never do such a thing. There was a police investigation, and three young people were identified as guilty, including the son of police officers. It was thanks to the unjustified accusation of this priest, who had a crush on my partner, that I began to understand my own parental realities. And it was very painful.
