Russia Has Become a Great and Invincible Power, says Head of Russian Church
Patriarch Kirill wishes for Russia to be strong that no one would disturb the peaceful lives of its citizens
At the Pascha (Easter) Gift festival in Moscow, Patriarch Kirill stated his desire that Russia would become strong that no one would dare to disturb the peaceful life of Russians.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited the site of the Pascha Gift festival on Tverskaya Square on Wednesday, where they talked with guests and congratulated the townspeople on the holiday of the Resurrection of Christ. According to Sobyanin, more than 500 thousand people were guests at the festival.
The Patriarch congratulated everyone present for Pascha (Easter) and noted that the capital had become very beautiful. “And this revival of the capital coincides with a strong, powerful revival of our country. We have become a truly great, and I would add, invincible power, and God grant that it will be so that no problems destroy our unity, that we become so strong, so that no one dares to disturb our peaceful life. So that those spiritual values by which our people live, thanks to which they have become a great nation, are preserved in the hearts of our youth and passed on to subsequent generations,” said Patriarch Kirill. He thanked Sobyanin for his sincere love for Moscow and care for it.
As part of the festival, about 1.4 thousand creative and culinary master classes, 100 stage programs, more than 300 good lessons from charitable foundations, as well as a number of sporting events were organized.
