Russia Offers Citizenship for Military Service
One year of Army service comes with rapid receipt of a Russian passport
The Russian legislature just passed a new law, offering a shiny new Russian passport to foreigners who join the Russian military. According to a recent news report,
Those who will sign a 1-year contract with the Russian army will be able to apply for citizenship right away without having to apply for a temporary or permanent residence permit first or to reside in Russia for a specific period of time or fit any other standard requirements.
In addition to getting a nice new passport, you’ll also have the opportunity to help bring an end to things like this:
I am almost 55 have never been a soldier but if I were a young man I would volunteer for Russia.
I am very interested in this I may possibly qualify given the circumstances. Is there an age requirement limit? Is there a waiver for medical condition ( hypothyroid). When I joined the USMC they waivered my hypothyroid when the U.S. was at war with Iraq. As long as I can serve Russia perhaps stateside I am ready able and willing provided that I can take my one pill in the morning.
