Steven Seagal Praises Russian Orthodox Christianity, Attends International Church Conference
"I think that Kirill is a great spiritual leader. I think that the Orthodox Christian religion is working wonderful for Russia. It’s a great religion," says actor Steven Seagal.
Though not yet a Christian himself, Hollywood actor Steven Seagal says that the Orthodox Christian Faith in Russia is "a great religion" and he says that Patriarch Kirill — the head of the Russian Orthodox Church — is "a great spiritual leader."
At a news conference in Moscow, Seagal said,
"I think that Kirill is a great spiritual leader. I think that the Orthodox Christian religion is working wonderful for Russia. It’s a great religion."
Less than a week later, Seagal attended the International Faith & Word media conference at Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Moscow, where the keynote address was offered by Patriarch Kirill.
Born in the United States, and also a citizen of Serbia, actor Steven Seagal was granted Russian citizenship six years ago. He has come to Russia many times, repeatedly expressing his affection for the country.
Not that long ago, Steven Seagal was appointed by Russia as a special representative for humanitarian ties between Russia and the United States.
Orthodoxy is what will save Russia/Ukraine and other Slavic Orthodox countries. God bless Kirill.
Father Joseph deserves to be supported in his humble efforts to spread the truth about Russia in the USA and Europe.
