VIDEO: Holy Fire Descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem
MOSCOW, May 4 – RIA Novosti. The Holy Fire descended in Jerusalem in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, live broadcast nationwide in Russia by channels NTV, Channel One and Rossiya 1.
Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem came out of the Edicule, in which he had prayed for the descent of fire, and began to distribute it to the people in the church.
The miracle of the descent of the Holy Fire occurs on the eve of the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ according to the Julian calendar. In 2024, Easter (Pascha) will be celebrated on May 5th.
The fire appears in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, which is built over the place where Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and resurrected.
