It is time to start a rigorous educational campaign about the fact that islam is a false religion. A good place to start is Dr Jay Smith on youtube. His videos are very informative and well researched

You're right, Shelly. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). If Jesus was telling the truth, then every other religion — including Islam — is necessarily a lie.

According to the studies being done by the scholars Dr Jay Smith references, islam started out as Christian. This is proven by the many writings they found written in the Aramaic script Christians used at that time, but those scripts were in areas inhabited by muslims.

Also, the dome of the rock that is so sacred to muslims is actually about Jesus and Mary.

There are many more videos proving islam was made up in the minds of men who loved to make war and dominate. Islam and muhammad was their scape goat to give their barbarous actions legitimacy, and they wanted a religion like the Jews and Christians. That's why you see so many copied verses that were taken from the Bible and used in their quran.

Muslims historical claims do not add up. Neither does muhammad. People and muslims need to know this

While good things are happening in Russia, the nation is still operating under the constitution written for them by the Americans in the 1990s, which views all religions as equal. Ultimately Christianity and Islam are mutually exclusive. To have both under a State that acknowledges neither as Supreme will ultimately lead to the State being the Supreme religion, as it has become in every country of Europe and the USA. That is to say, Secular Humanism becomes the supreme religion in a state that does not acknowledge Christ as King of Kings. It will be interesting to watch how God works this problem out in Russia. Russia seems destined to become the leader of the Christian world for the 21st century.

Well said. Jesus is King — not Islam, and not the State.

We serve a pretty BIG God. So leave it to HIM to encourage the heritage of peoples not connected to Christ. If HE brings about their knowledge of Jesus Christ, no one can stop HIM. Starting with the belief system of your recent ancestors is a start, shoring up decent parents everywhere. Eventually HE Holds all of us accountable. Put all this into HIS Hands. Rejoice that this friction exists. We need to have some hardship to hunger for our Lord. HE HAS Never been the easy path. How faithful have you been on your path? There is only ONE God - The Almighty ! Same for all of us... be we Christians or Muslims... Let us respect one anothers holy books, worship, traditions, cultures and the houses where we worship, be they called churches, mosques or temples. Let us have peace amongst us all. Peace on Earth starts at home. Russia is a great country, it has room for every man, woman and child as long as they follow the laws of the land, Russia ... and welcomes likewise their contribution to defend their land, Russia.

It seems to me that Russia, if anything, is officially Orthodox, while protecting against religious hatred. It would not be good for Russia to treat the majority Muslim provinces as somehow inferior. Let's not forget how far we've come since the problems in Chechnya. Let Orthodoxy speak the truth on its own. Without bigotry.

A man cannot serve two masters, and a nation cannot serve two religions. Christ alone is king. Christ alone should be worshiped.

I agree but don't you think the Russian Federation can be Christian while tolerating other religions?

Call it whatever you like. The fact is that the holy Fathers and saints of Orthodoxy never spread the faith by beating people over the head with it (verbally or physically).

Ever hear of St. Olaf of Norway?

Hello Father. I don't like what St. Olaf did. It's no better than the Muslim hordes. That said, I don't know the background context. If they were attacking Christians it's a different matter. But look at the Arabs and Jews. Tit-for-tat. Generation after generation.

I came back to add an edit: St. Olaf accomplished much for Christ's kingdom. But does this mean Russia should attack its Muslim majority provinces and force them to convert? To me the answer is an obvious "no". Just because something worked a thousand years ago doesn't mean we should do it every situation. Christ never advocated the murder of non-believers. And that is the concept that was presented that I was responding to.

Example?

I'll give you an example. Jesus said to the apostles if you enter a town and you are not accepted then turn around and leave - and shake the dust off your feet. He didn't say get in their face or start a religious war or take away their right to exist.

Months ago, I happened to read an account by an Asian man in India who witnessed his mother's enslavement to demons. He explained how that helped him in his search for God. Of course, Jesus was the result, for him & his mother. It is results that count, not talk, not each other. The church points the WAY to Jesus. We are the Church. God in Jesus is at work. HE IS also in us. Sandy Rinaldi, Arkansas, US Army veteran 1971 to 1974, 13 DEC 23
