Russia just keeps getting better! Hopefully people that move there don't try and change the culture and actually do assimilate. We as a family are learning the language, culture etc. and would rather blend in vs. never bother trying. Thankfully our children are developing their Russian to have "no accent" which is to mean to sound native.
I agree, we need to support genuine, devout, Orthodox Christian culture. We don't need to introduce any of the materialism from western culture (or from any other culture).

Why are foreign adoptions even being considered?
Are there not enough Russians wanting to adopt Russian children?
We definitely need more good Orthodox Christian families to adopt children. Sadly, many children grow up in orphanages, and never get to be adopted.
